Description: A converted farm in the foothills of the Appalachians, the Eisenhower National Historic Site overlooks the Gettysburg Battlefield. The house contains the furniture, family pictures, and personal items of the Eisenhower family. Mrs. Eisenhower moved to Gettysburg in 1961, but by 1976 was living in Washington DC until her death in 1979. National Park Service Site. Open to the public.

Hours of Operation: Daily: April 1 through October 31; 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The remainder of the year, the site is open Wednesday through Sunday, closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Days.
