Description: After his presidency, Martin Van Buren bought and restored a decrepit farm and named it "Lindenwald" after the linden trees surrounding the property. The home is open to the public and maintained by the National Park Service.

Hours of Operation: Martin Van Buren National Historic Site is open daily to the public seasonally from mid-May to the end of October. The Site is open weekends in November through the first week in December.
