Description: The monument is located in Washington's Birthplace Virginia which is east of Fredricksburg Virginia and over 70 miles South of Washington D.C. The original home, Wakefield, burned on Christmas Day in 1779. A memorial home was built on the property and is now maintained by the National Park Service. Open to the Public.
