Millard Fillmore
Vice President Millard Fillmore took the oath of office in the House of Representatives on July 10, 1850 following the death of President Zachary Taylor. Judge William Cranch administered the oath to Fillmore as he had done almost twenty years previously to John Tyler. Fillmore was one of five Presidents to never be inaugurated. |
